Home Ownership Schemes

NHC has implemented various Government-directed home ownership schemes overthe years, providing eligible tenants and beneficiaries opportunities to purchase theproperties they occupy. These have included rental purchase, cash sales, staff housingand self-help/settlement schemes, among others.

NHC facilitates the home ownership process, including eligibility assessment, property verification, valuation, sale and settlement, and works with relevant financial institutions and Government agencies where required to complete financing, statutory and title-transfer requirements. NHC continues to implement Government housinginterventions and, under NEC Decision No. 341/2023, supports greater participation by Government departments and agencies in housing programmes in partnership with NHC.

Government Housing Initiatives

NHC implements and supports Government housing initiatives and policy directions aimed at increasing access to housing and addressing public and institutional housing needs. These initiatives are undertaken in partnership with relevant Government departments, agencies and other stakeholders.
